I've just checked, you are pretty much spot on! Although on the 2017 model it looks more like a solid line rather than 3 bars, but that could just be the picture.

Handy info, i'd definitely take the V6 if there were a choice between that or the Eco-boost, although V8 would be ideal!

Who have you booked with? I've previously used Alamo and managed to get a hard top Camaro (was hoping for a Mustang but they didn't have any at the time we arrived) just by asking what else was in, small tip later and it was driven round to me at no extra cost (with Almao I think any of the hard tops fall in the sports category so was a bit of a bonus!)

Might be worth a question if they only have eco boost in the garage?

With hertz, and this is way back in 2012, wanted a hardtop v6 (bigger boot), but the guy thought he was doing me a favour by upgrading me to the convertable, even though hertz website specifically said reserve exact model.

v8 they wanted a extra 300 quid, I politely said no and just took the convertable, tbh we had a drive from miami to key west to do, already waited 30 minutes inline, and our flight was delayed etc, so was not in the best of mood.

We did have 1400 miles to drive, hence I didn't want the v8 (well I did but couldn't get it by the missus who already wasn't keen on having a mustang anyway!).

Tbh the v6 was fine, and I was happy with it, 0-60 about 5.5 seconds, and we achieved average 29 mpg (usa gallons) - the v6 is probably more fuel efficient than the ecoboost (says different on paper).

And of course no need to worry soon as Ford has ditched the V6 Mustang for 2018 so only eco boost and v8 ,so no confusion in lines soon.
If it says GT it's V8 if not its eco boost.
