Customs forms at Miami airport
Hi, I'm flying into Miami this weekend with BA and have a question about that customs form I have to complete on the plane (I assume BA give them to you whilst flying?).
I'm traveling in a group of 11 family members but with 3 different surnames in total. Do we need to fill in three separate customs forms for each surname or one for the whole 11 people? |

It may be you wont even have to fill a form in at all. But you will be advised at check in or on the aircraft if you have to or not.
But this extract from the form is the key thing to note:- Each arriving traveler or responsible family member must provide the following information (only ONE written declaration per family is required). The term "family" is defined as "members of a family residing in the same household who are related by blood, marriage, domestic relationship, or adoption. The last few lines are the important bit - living in the same household. So the answer falls out of that sentence and you will determine how many forms you need.

I have a load I picked up a few years ago at Gatwick.
Every trip I fill one in so I am always prepared. We haven't been asked for said form for 2 years now so thats a good few times through Immigration. At our Global Entry interview this March the CBP Officer specifically told me they dont want them any more. But I still take one!

No forms needed, arrived last Friday in Miami, you will provide all the information on the computer screen the same questions that was on the old customs form.

I asked for a form on the flight to Miami back in May, they refused and said they don’t hand them out anymore. That was Lufthansa.
All the questions from the form were asked at the kiosks in the immigration hall. |
