Minnie Vans have arrived
Looks what's arrived at YC BC and BW! It's on free test for a few weeks. If it's outside your resort it will take you anywhere within WDW but will not return you from parks to resort for now. Once up and running you'll be able to download an app and use it just like Uber. I think it will be a $20 flat rate.

Pricy. It will be interesting to see if there's any longer term aim of barring Uber from WDW in order to ensure a decent level of trade for Disney's offering.
Alternatively, these very pages reveal how nervous many folk of are of using Uber, as mainstream as it is, and some these nervy souls would probably pay Disney more for a similar service but with an added veneer of security and peace of mind. |

Compared to uber that sounds very pricey! Anybody have an idea of when they will be fully functioning and app up and running?

i am...from experience one of those nervous people when it comes to Uber and am happy to pay the extra $$
The lady i spoke to just said a few weeks.By comparison to Mears,we took a taxi from WL to YC late last night and paid $16+ a few $$ tip so not a huge difference. |

I would definitely pay the extra for the security of a service run by Disney and driven by cast members. And the vans are super cute! This will make dinner at other resorts much easier.

Driven by cast members? Says who? I wouldn't be surprised if this is Mears again in the same way as the Magical Express is.
