Yes excellent post we on the fll from lga flight end october as have family in west palm beach...i presume they have a few buses nipping people to rental garage?
Also can you explain f you went to the desk or straight to garage for Avis...any issues with initial form showing more charges...i think im gonna pay for full tank this yr think they want $2.20 a gallon which is fair,return empty then..nice post though as yes we doing similar trip...

I've read that FLL should improve its international arrival and immigration situation next year when a new terminal is finished.

As it stands I think the OP got through lightly compared to our friends who flew in with Norwegian three weeks ago. They took well over an hour to get through and found it a pretty awful experience especially with young children. They found the Norwegian flight comfortable but insisted Thomson Gatwick to Sanford was a far preferable option!

Thanks for the info - we're flying this route next Easter and I also like to research the details beforehand so good to read.
Can I ask - the checking and rechecking if luggage - did that seem like a normal security measure or was it because of the 3 flights arriving at the same time?
