Mobile Hire Car Insurances

I've tried to search the forum for the answer to this but my phone isn't very user friendly and I can't find anything!

Booking for next Easter but it's been a while so just wanted a list of what insurance we actually need. We have been gullible before & I'm sure we've paid for stuff we don't need!
Many thanks

The big two essentials are
Collision damage waiver. Called CDW, or LDW
Supplementary liability insurance. Called SLI or EP

These are an absolute must and the latter needs to be $1.000.000.

Personal accident insurance is a waste of time and is contained within your travel insurance so don't fall for the sales claptrap.
Roadside assistance is a personal choice. Discussed on here today further down the page.
Uninsured motorist protection called UMP I view as a waste of money as well. It's a rental car so is fully covered.
