Avis rental from Miami and Tolls

Hi,
We are flying into Miami mid week and will be driving up to Orlando in a car from Avis (BA fly drive). ABIT confused about the tolls! Do you just drive through the sunpass lane at the plazas and then it gets billed later? Also does it also include the express lanes on the i95 heading for the turnpike through Miami? Normally fly into Orlando so it's abit new

Hi. If you click on this link and scroll down to Avis you will note that you will pay an admin fee of $19.75 for your entire holiday - plus tolls.
Just drive through the tolls without stopping and the rear tag is captured and Avis gets billed, then you.

The credit card you gave them details of will be billed between 1 and 8 weeks after you get home as they bill in cycles not daily.

I can't add anything to Tom's advice. We've only done the drive twice (up then down ) but did you know that you can pick up US27 from a few hundred yards away from the car hire garage at MIA? US27 is toll free and at least dual-carriageway all the way to Davenport US192 junction and beyond.

A few towns on the way to break the journey as well. Longer timewise of course but more interesting.

We took 836 from the airport(signposted outsidehire place) then joined turnpike up toi75 at junction 5 (the road practically goes straight onto it - we ignored (missed) the first sign for i75 which took you down a busy road🤣
Coming back we missed the turning for turnpike and ended up at end of i75 - was manic!
