Help! Here now worrying!

Here in Orlando and have an Alamo Ford Expedition MAX... and yes its flippin' lovely!
However when we got to the apartment we noticed that it has one remote fob and one key. Upon closer inspection the key actually is hidden inside the remote fob so looks like the spare fob is missing.
Is this normal for Alamo to remove the spare fobs?
I can just see them whacking us for $225 fine for lost key.
Currently attempting to contact Alamo here which is a chore getting advice!

Any regular renters help?

You might find the other key hidden under the spare tyre in the boot.

Just checked nothing in boot and wheel outside... on thinking these cars with proximity sensors don't lock if there's a key inside the vehicle.

You usually only get one fob/key (nearly all integrated these days) with a hire car. They keep the other in case you lose the one you have.

Standard practice to get 1 key only fairly common worldwide.
Nice motor as well.

Its been fairly common for the last couple of years to only pick up one key. Don't sweat it.
