any ticket companies take american express?

I also use an American Express card and do find that places will not accept it - I do not know why?

I am also about to buy tickets.

Whats this about nectar points?

The reason no-one accepts them is because they charge the company 1-2% more in way of credit card fee.

Visa/mastercard is typically 1-2% charge of booking. When margins are as tight as they are then thats a lot of money!
Then add another 1-2% ontop of that that goes from your profit and you are suddenly looking at a profit of pennies on a booking of hundreds...
