Thank you glad to read you had a good holiday. Can I ask who you booked flights/hotel with?

We went to Venice last year and the year before we went to Sorrento. On both we went with Jet2 holidays..Want to go back to Sorrento and explore more, did a boat trip to Capri.. went to Pompeii. Italy is stunning. We did Rome 5 years ago and that was amazing booked Ryanair and booked our hotel through booking.com.

We just came back from afamilytrip to Italy. We stayed in a wonderful (and inexpensive) hotel in Florence-Hotel Villa Agape. Beaustiful hotel, beautiful grounds, wonderful service and my room (with Breakfast) was $107./night.

We’ve just been on a holiday to Milan / Lake Como.

We really enjoyed it. It is fairly expensive, we flew into Milan and then got the train to Varenna (very easy). We stayed in Varenna but you could easily get the ferry over to Bellagio etc.

There’s lots of lovely restaurants and bars but as I say it’s expensive. We stayed in an air BnB. We couldn’t find many supermarkets in walking difference although I think if we had a car it would have been easier to drive to get supplies.

However it was absolutely beautiful and we really enjoyed exploring Lake Como and Milan.

We booked a package through British Airways. We stayed at Hotel L’orologio fantastic location on the grand canal which made it easier to arrive by speed boat to the hotel jetty. Nice treat for our anniversary.

The hotel we stayed at.

Also if you are going to use the train, I highly recommend booking first class. It wasn't much more money and the cars were lovely. I really enjoyed train travel in Italy.

Lake Garda. We go every year. Stay the night before at the Airport hotel, check in, have a lovely meal. Next morning straight through the airport and by 12 or 1 in the afternoon, on the decking by the lake with a wonderful lunch and a glass of something fabulous. xx
