Mine was one of the special buys from Aldi. It was less than £10. It also doesn't create the same amount of steam in the kitchen.

I put mine on in cold water and when they start to boil I give them exactly 3 minutes.Perfect for dipping your soldiers in.

Ohhh so now we have 3 minutes and 5 minutes from cold water once boiled, does egg size impact the timing too much?

I use medium size eggs

im very much - add large egg to boiling water for 6 mins and keep boiling - let it rest for 2 mins and then its ready.

however i do like shallow poached eggs cooked in a frying pan.

I’ve tried 6 minutes in boiling water and it was far too set for dipping

My eggs are medium and 3 mins after the boil is perfect, I'm funny about eggs and couldn't touch one with the snotty white 🤮
