Formosa Gardens - any feedback?
We are needing a 7+bed villa and have found one we like the look of on Formosa Gardens which is 20 mins walk to the local restaurants and supermarket, which in itself is a huge bonus. We've never stayed in Formosa before, has anyone got any feedback of this area?
Thanks |

Fantastic location for Disney and access to restaurants. You can walk to a few but a 5 minute drive will give you a much bigger choice. It is a gated community of mainly large houses on bigger plots than most of the newer ones. No community facilities except an unmanned gate that I am aware of but a very desirable community.
When are you going? The nearest supermarket is closed (abit far to carry shopping anyway TBH). It may be turned into a small neighborhood Walmart store but no work has started yet. There is a large Walmart, Target and Publix within a 5 minute drive though. Edited at 08:46 PM. |

Generally good villas on large plots very close to Disney and few minutes drive to lots of restaurants etc. There's a Publix, a Supertarget and a Walmart all not too far away too.
I guess some of the restaurants are walkable, but we generally drive, but then, we prefer to have soft drinks with our meals and have a glass of wine or beer when we are back in the villa, but an Uber or Lyft wouldn't cost much either. EC |

Never stayed there but probably drive past it three or four times a day when we're over there.
A five minute drive north to the 192 and within a mile or two you will be in a short stretch of road with Manny’s, Longhorn, Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze, Texas Roadhouse, Red Lobster, Joes Crab Shack, Bonefish Grill, Outback, Carrabbas, Millers Ale House, Cracker Barrel, Sweet Tomatoes, Red Robin, Applebees, Hooters - bound to have missed a couple A Super Target at Rolling Oaks behind Longhorn and a Walmart at the top end of North Old Lake Wilson Road Mick

Fantastic guys, sounds great thankyou. We're going August 2020, feels a bit early to secure a villa, but as we need a large one and would like a community as described, I think we may snap it up. Thanks again

We are staying here in October and have a 7 bed booked. It looks amazing , we went in for a look last year ( got the gate number from the villa owners so we could see so didn’t just wander in) and the area is spot on.

We’ve stayed in a couple of different properties on Formosa Gardens for our last 3 visits - we now wouldn’t stay anywhere else!

Us too! Stayed there this April and again for April 2020. It’s lovely and peaceful and the villas are amazing! Go for a stroll one day and take a look at the mega mansions around the lake 😳

Never too early to book a 7+ bedroom villa. There aren't that many around especially in such a good location.
