Warning tv license email

My daughter has just received a email from tv license saying a payment hasn’t gone through and update through this link. She doesn’t have a tv license. So if you get one press on the email address to see where it comes from.

Please don't click on the link - it is a scam.

They ask for your personal details, bank account number and debit card details.

We didn't realise as the email looked so realistic, next thing we knew we were having phone calls from scammers pretending to be from our bank saying that there had been fraudulent activity.

I didn’t press on the link, she uses a iPad so if you press on the address at the top it will show the proper address, this has nothing to do with tv license.

I've had a few of these recently and i just delete them

My son had a similar one from DVLA saying his car tax direct debit hadn’t gone through, please update details.

He doesn’t own a car!

I always just report these as phishing to my email provider. I also had an email claiming to be from my DH the other day, wanting me to click on some link. Luckily I checked the address as it was showing as his name.
