Great replies, thanks very much do kids need to pay to upgrade to DDP too? Would daughter be classed as an adult or child at age 12? Sorry for all the questions, there is SO much to think about! x

Yes kids need to pay upgrade too. At 12 your dd would pay adult, I think it's 9 and under is classed as child.

Great thanks, last couple of questions I promise! any idea what the child upgrade daily rate is? And also, can you use TS credits towards character breakfasts (eg in Ohanas)/dinners etc?x

upgrade price depends on who you book with disney direct is usually cheapest we paid £8 per adult (10 yrs +)per day & £2 per child(3-9yrs) per day when we booked though I know it did increase later.TA are usually quite a bit dearer virgin wanted £15/£8 pppd
you can use your TS credits towards character meals dinner shows and most park/resort/dtd table service restuarant like ohana's

usually works out that if you would be paying for 2-3 ts meals anyway then its worth upgrading as your getting the rest of your Ts meals "free"
though you do need to pay tips on TS which can soon add up.

I love POR, it is so beautiful. Can't wait to get back there in July! I would highly recommend it. QSDP is well worth it and it's not in-your-face Disney. Absolutely love it there!

If your decision is based on finances then you'll find ASM cheaper. However, if you can get the free QSDP then POR would definately be worth going for... that's why we go for moderates now ! but if the free dining wasn't on offer wouldn't hesitate to go back to ASM or similar
That's really good to know. DD11 really wants to go to ASMusic but I thougth POR so we'll just have to let free dining (or not!) decide!
