Vegetarian etaing
Myself and DH will be going to Orlando in Sept 07(hopefully)
When DH went last time(many yrs ago) he said he found very few places that did vegetarian meals. When we went to San Diego/Las Vegas in 2002 we found no problem getting vege meals. Whats it like now in Orlando? Is there plenty of choice? Thanks Cath x

My DW is a veggie too. Loads of choices. Try sweet tomatoes or Boma for great food!

plenty of choice at the restaurants ( disney & off site ) but I found counter service a bit 'samey', usually a wrap or vege burger, the few times I did see something different & yummy , I'd get to the till & be told not available I've had some good tips from the 'foodie' trip reports ( veggie & carnivore one is good ) so hoping to put them into practice next time

Hi,
We have no problems, we try and avoid the classic steak houses or boston lobster type but most others have a veggie option. Of course the buffet places and sweet tomatoes ideal. Even planet hollywood and hard rock are offering more choice each year... Or is it that DD is not as picky? |

We have a nightmare about finding something different for DH who doesn't eat meat and DD1 who is soooo picky...but found quite a bit of choice - although as ali says it can be a bit samey. Buffets were good - DH loved Sweet Tomatoes and Chef Mickeys.

Hi, You won't have any trouble in the Disney Area but travel further afield and you might encounter the odd problem. When we were at Applebee's in Bradenton Beach and there was no veggie food on the menu I requested the Chicken Alfredo Pasta without the chicken and with a meat free side salad instead. They refused to charge us for my meal, as "all you had was Pasta and Salad! " They gave me a HUGE serving too!
