Hotel at Manchester Airport

So we usually stay at the Radisson and get an airport view room as DS loves looking at the runway, anyway prices are expensive and i'm not sure i can justify spending nearly £200 on a room.
So where else would you stay that was close so we can either just walk or get a short cab ride to the airport?
Thanks

Prem Inn and Heald Green is very close. You can also walk into Heald Green itself and have a range of eating...Well Indian anyway! The Hotel is on the site as a Beef Eater which is nice and then a 2min walk to the Flying Horse which is a chain style pub, and has a play area outside.

We're big fans if the premier inns too. The north one at runger lane is our favourite and only a short taxi ride if you don't have a car. Alternatively, the Heald green one is 1 stop in the train and only takes a few minutes. Dh stayed there last year and said it was great and very easy

We're at Premier Inn RL north, blurb on the website says it has runway views from the top floor.

The Clayton (formerly Bewleys), Crowne Plaza and Hilton are all very close to the airport and have free shuttles.

At Manchester we usually stay at the Marriott, but OH has got loads of IHG points that need using so this year we're at the Crowne Plaza. We've not stayed there for years, but it always used to be ok. The car is booked on to the multi storey though.

We have stayed in most of them and rate premier inn as one of the best. We are staying in runger lane north this time and room cost £45. Can't beat it and we will buy the meal deal when we are there. Yes raddison is nice but not worth the money. We always park in meet and greet so it suits us.

We actually stay at one of the premier inns at the trafford centre. Go down the day before and spend some time in the trafford centre and have dinner there. Literally 10-15 mins in the car then to the airport in the morning
