Virgin Atlantic API

Looked all over my booking for advanced passenger information on my Virgin flight .They have confirmed API not enabled until online check in,which opens 24hrs before flight .Bit too tight for my liking.

It�s been like that for ages...🙂 you are only filling in the place of stay and passport details in.

Yes from memory around Nov 2017 (or was it 2016

) when VS synchronised their computer systems with Delta. Before then you could do API as soon as you booked just like you can with BS and TC.

Went viral on here at the time as dozens of Dibbers lost loads of FC points.

I think you can do API when you physically check in at the airport though.

We didn�t do online check in, therefore hadn�t done API, as I wanted to surprise my family that we were flying Upper, at check in we were asked no questions at all.

Did you ask if API was being done or just assumed so?

Just assumed so, the had our passport numbers and dates of birth etc from when we made the booking.

Flown with Virgin a few times and in their flying club and they hold our passport details. Got new passports this year and just altered everything at check in. All good.
