Prepaid currency card help

Hi all,

We've been to the states many times now, but have always taken cash and travellers cheques.

I'm looking at prepaid cards this time but there are so many!

Are they worth it?
If so does anyone have recommendations?

Many thanks
Emma

Jusut got a monzo card in the last few weeks and i have to say the service is second to none.
As soon as i make a purchase within seconds it appears on the app, and with no transaction fees i'm looking forward to using it in orlando in a few weeks time.

I also like the monzo card. Not used out of the uk yet. Have topped it up and also used it to pay for MNSSHP tickets and my esta and as soon as the transaction is made the app makes a noise and transaction shows. Looking forward to using it in Orlando later this year.

been using fairfx every year for 10 years now and never had an issue. its easy to top up whilst out there, and is consistently one of the best exchange rates available on these sort of things...

We have a post office travel card which we've used for the last few years, and in Canada too. Never had any issues. Easy to top up and keep track of and no fees.
