Mobile Banning ice

Am I totally missing something? I understand (although don’t agree with) the smoking ban, but what is the problem with ice?

I have taken a few cans into the water parks in a very small cool bag with some ice from the ice machine, am I now some sort of social pariah for doing this?

It says on the Moms panel page that you can ask for free ice one in the parks for your cooler or water bottle.
Wonder if it’s a security thing !
I wondered if I could find a reason but didn’t

Im glad this ice ban is coming in, its great news. Think of all that water saved and energy consumed to make it ice.

We've often taken a few frozen bottles of water in. Is this no longer allowed and does anyone know why?

Probably security officers are fed up wading through coolers or another deterrent to stop you bringing food in in an indirect way . I am surprised they didn’t just ban food though. A cup of ice isn’t going to keep a cooler cool and if onsite reusable packs won’t freeze .
What comes next ? guest size, weight and height to maximise the amount of guests they can squeeze in ?

I asked this too on a fb group.
Its for 2 reasons
... 1 security dont have to slush around in icy water to check coolers (makes senses)
And people dump their ice on flower beds etc.
So frozen water bottles are ok. Hth

The wording is "loose or dry ice is not permitted in these containers [coolers]. Re-usable ice packs are recommended.

Ice packs are no use if you’ve not got a freezer in your room? What do they define as a cooler? Is this big hard plastic suitcase filled with ice or a small soft bag with a few cans and some ice around it from the ice machine?
