Interested to see responses, I’m looking for a good quality royal iced version, they all seem to be fondant.

We do, but only for eating while the actual christmas cake receives it's weekly injections of alcohol, so undecorated. We've tried Morrisons, Tesco's, Aldi & Lidl this year , the round ones at about £4 (£6 for Tesco finest which actually was the worst).

M&S are always spoken about as being good, but I don't think I've had any other than at a wedding a few years ago and I can't really remember it.

Favourite is from Lidl which is now screaming at me from the pantry so I'm going to go and put the kettle on.

I haven't been going out shopping so haven't had the chance to have a look for any I was just saying to DH the other day that I have missed that this year so tried to add one to my Tesco delivery but there weren't any listed!

I think we are going to pop to M&S on Sunday for some cheat veg and will hopefully buy one there.

Iceland mince pies have been mentioned a bit this year too - and deliveries are still available around here.
