Re -booking with a virgin open ticket help?

Hi,

We have 2 open tickets with Virgin for a one way flight home from Florida, booked using miles? We were doing a transatlantic cruise so only needed the flight home! They show on my account as OPE-NTK, but there is no information on how to rebook? What it is worth as it was mile flight etc?

Has anyone rebooked, can shed any light please? Can't even remember how many miles they were originally! Thanks

We rebooked our open ticket and called them, but you can also book via what’s app. It’s still associated with the same booking number you used previously so that holds the original booking Info.

Hopefully that helps?

I asked this question last week to Virgin, their response was '' Once your dates become available to book you can get in touch with our reservations team who will be happy to get your flights rebooked. Any additional points/taxes will need to be covered, this will be calculated at the point of changing your ticket.''

You just need to ring when your flights come up, hope that helps.

Thank you

I was reading that virgin are changing their miles programme? I wonder if this will become an issue? I think I would prefer the miles were put back and taxes refunded so I can jump if I see a flight!

Not sure if you can do it after an open ticket is issued but it was a cancellation fee of £30.00pp to do as above which I didn't think was bad at all. Might be worth ringing and asking if that can be done?

We just rang to rebook ours on the Open Tickets which were miles + money flights. It was very easy and we got a £200+ refund on the cost.
