That I don't know BM. The pixs were from our friend, Pine Island wildlife snapper Martha, who'd been sent them from a fellow photographer to share with others/on her Facebook et al. I'd guess not too close as the great blue is in water, photographer would be on land, avoiding adult gators
I doubt it too Lou, photo's would've been taken with a quality camera. Hence the alert heads up Jen, I knew some may be shocked, at least it wasn't too bad for you We wondered if the great blue killed the gator first YT, I know they don't with fish, but bigger, dangerous, prey perhaps. I'm guessing how the photo's were taken but realise number two is the first by the bit of water greenery alongside the gator.

Woah, that is amazing! I did feel a bit sorry for the baby gator, but nature is nature I guess, circle of life and all that. And give it a couple of years and that "baby" gator probably wouldn't think twice about trying to eat me! (Although I do carry a sign with me at all times, saying "Attention Alligators! Tough old bird alert!")
