Just booked to leave on the 18th for 2 weeks... if that doesn't work out then we'll go at Christmas instead. Never been in the August heat before though: any words of advice for me?

Water parks during the day, theme parks at night!

I'm staying positive (albeit praying at the same time). We wasn't planning to go this year but finding £300 direct flights in the school holidays (1st Aug) £500 for a mini van for two weeks and a good price villa was too much to turn down.

If it does get cancelled i'm sure we can put it towards the following year but i'm guessing villas will be in high demand next year and owners will be charging a premium due to the dwindling benefits of staying on property.

I'm staying pretty positive for August, however we only have flights booked at the minute and nothing else for 3 weeks. I realllllllly want to start planning but there's part of me that is scared to plan in case it all goes to pot again.. Argghh what to do?!

We haven't told the kids yet either, but I'm dying to!

We're staying pretty positive at the moment. If last year has taught us anything it is expect the unexpected! Keeping an open mind and if we have to push it back a bit so be it.

Depends what you want from the holiday. If you are happy with restrictions/face masks etc then there is a good chance you can fly over IMO.

I don't want to wear a mask - I have to wear one all day long at work - I had to wear one in Lanzarote and on reflection - thats not what I want from a holiday.
