Remember when life was simple ...

... and the height of sophistication was having this;

Judging by the wording of the ad ... foreign travel was taking off too.

Who remembers these?

Never had that one but did have the 'beef' curry and would serve it as on the box, rice in a ring, curry in the middle.

Loved a Vesta curry or a chow mein and crispy noodles. Remeber trying the paella after my sister and her hubby came back from 2 weeks in Lloret de Mar in the 70s we thought we were very adventurous in our culinary tastes 😂

I remember the vesta curry, my mum was born in India and made a real curry so thought it was very tame!

Loved Vesta meals. Chicken supreme was my favourite but dh loved making the chow Mein With the crispy noodles. Like the paella, beef and chicken curries too, especially if we had Angel Delight for pudding or Kipling Apple pie with Dream topping🥰
