2022 free dining?

This is wishful thinking isn’t it?

We’ve been planning on going August 2022 for a couple of years now and I was all set to book this April when free dining is released. It’s a pipe dream now isn’t it? Without the free dining, I’m not sure we can justify the cost of staying in the Disney bubble.

Can anyone offer a glimmer of hope?

Dining plan may be back but 2022 may be travel boom year. If it is, there will be no deals or free dining (or if it is it will be smoke and mirrors with expensive rooms). Just a theory.
But who knows for sure at this stage, counter to this we may see a post 9-11 style long term slump in travel. This though I personally suspect will be different.

I think that there will be a mini slump as people won't/can't get the vaccine and I think having proof of this will be a requirement. I think 23/24 will probably be when things like DDP will be back

I’m hoping for a 2022 return and also hopeful of free dining but really think it could go either way

Anybody staying onsite without free dining is going to feel the pinch especially with kids pestering for snacks all day long. Its okay for those dibbers with DVC and mini kitchens but for the majority of onsite visitors they do not have these facilities available.

Hopefully, it will be back in 2022.

SSR and OKW have kitchenettes in studios and full kitchens in other villas, and anyone can book those. Worth considering.
