Best way to keep cut veggies fresh in fridge?

In a bid to eat healthier I plan to chop up various raw veggies and keep them in the fridge to snack on.
I'm thinking cucumber, carrots, peppers etc.
Is there a fool proof way to keep them fresh and firm for a few days?
When I've done it before and put them in supposed air tight boxes, the veg has either gone dry or slimy within 24 hours of so.

I chop up veg to snack on and it usually lasts 2/3 days. I try to pat dry with a tea towel as much as possible before I put it in the plastic containers. I hard boil a few eggs as well and they also keep a couple of days too. When I am properly “on it” with my diet I have usually eaten it all in 2/3 days. Don’t think I would keep it any longer.

Vegetables? Ahh! mainly green things that I find in the fridge . I wondered what they are. My partner keeps buying them for me to chuck out when gone off. Rabbit likes them

I prefer the glass containers with the plastic lids. Not sure why but find they keep things fresher for longer.

I sometimes peel my carrots (ready to cook for a few days) and put them in a plastic sandwich bag which I just twist and tie a knot in. They keep for a good few days. I can then just chop them up each day when I need them.

Add some folded kitchen roll as it absorbs the moisture and keeps it fresher for longer.

I have had these bags for years, they work very well.

Any root vegetables such as carrots turnips should be stored in a cool dark place. Wrap in newspaper or place in old cereal boxes in the cupboard. Lasts for weeks if not months.In the fridge they will last a couple of days going soft.

I cut up celery and carrots to dip into hummus, put in a zip lock bag with a few drops of cold water, shake to distribute and they’re good for 2-3 days. If you don’t put the water in, the batons dry out and the carrots start to split.
Cucumber is no good for this as it’s got too much water content and goes soggy.

Mind you my fridge freezer is amazing, the best I’ve ever had - we can go away for 2-3 weeks and the veg left behind (if intact) is still in really good condition when we get home.

Thanks for all the replies, some good suggestions for me to try.
Mind you, failed miserably today and finished off the remaining yule log instead of reaching for the veggies!
