Help with Villa

Hi all just wanted a bit of help.

I paid a deposit on a villa rental which I found through the dibb in March this year for September 2021. Not really looked into it since but last week thought I would message to see if there was any way I could move it on a year with everything going off with Covid. The message box on the dibb is full and the villa is no longer viewable. I went on the villa website where the calendar and photos are no longer viewable either. I have emailed a week ago via the email address I got on booking and had no reply. I know its christmas but with things has they are I would have expected some sort of communication even if it is to decline. Is there anyway I can check if they still own the villa which is based on Sunset Lakes? I have a feeling they have taken my money and just sold up

Thats not looking good. If its the one Ive just looked up, they only listed the villa for rent in dec and was last online in april. That looks very suspicious to me, I could be wrong - hopefully I am. How did you pay the deposit?

Don't think its the same. I think they were last online June/July. I paid by bank transfer

Thats a worry then. I only found that one on SSL where there were no pictures.
Did you get the address or anything of the villa ?

We had a dibb villa booked for sunset lakes that was definitely sold. We did get our deposit money back though. Wonder if its the same one, I hope u get sorted x

If you go on the Osceola County tax collectors website, you should be able to put the name and address of the owner into it and it will tell you if the deeds are in their name and if their tax bill is up to date. Whenever we book a villa I always look at the specific county tax collectors office to make sure it is owned by who they say it is owned by!

I'm guessing this is Disney Sunset Villa is it as that is what it says in your signature

Thanks for that. I have checked and everything was paid last month and still under their name. Hopefully they will get back to me shortly to put my mind at rest
