If the weather man on WFTV and Fox 35 says it's going to be 28 degrees tomorrow then prepare to wrap up as that's four degrees below freezing.

If he says 82 degrees it will be pleasantly warm.

This web site tells you all you need to know really but bear in mind it's based on average statistics. For example in early November 2015 we had about four record breaking days in the low 90's. Typically though it's 95% shorts and tee shirts although early morning and after sunset might require a sweater or fleece. Low humidity and usually dry.

This was on our pool deck on one of those Nov 15 days - admittedly in the sun but under the pool screen

Great answer, Mick. There are a lot of these questions on here - it's totally understandable that people want to know what to expect - and the answer should always be that statistically the weather is likely to be... In this case, clearly the probability of pool days decreases during November and the probability of a cool, even cold, spell, increases. It also rains a bit, but not nearly as much as in summer.

Thank you.

The thing about Floridian weather as I've said on here a few times over the years is that it's a sub-tropical climate. Any forecast beyond 5 days is usually based on past statistics and averages and shouldn't be relied on too much. Even when it says that there's a 50% chance of rain only means that somewhere in the greater Orlando area half of the area can expect rain.

Even then that rain can come in an hour's heavy thunderstorm. It can be clear blue skies in MK and pouring down in AK.

They do seem to be able to forecast cold fronts fairly accurately though - plus or minus a few hours.

Because we are many years past having to worry about school holidays we choose to go in April (sometimes into May) and November (sometimes into Dec). Both months offer us the perfect mix (90% of the time) of nice warm temperatures, low rainfall and low humidity.

We went in the first two weeks of November 2014. We arrived to a bitterly freezing cold wind. It was gone 10pm by the time we checked in to SSR, and we walked across the bridge into DS (or DTD as it was then) to get pizza. They had almost run out of everything because it was so cold that evening!

However, most days were about 22C which was great for us. Anything over 25 and I suffer.

There were, however, two cold days (both the days we had planned for waterparks, and Disney shut them!) and one other bitterly cold evening. We had gone to MVMCP in shorts and t-shirts as it was quite warm at 4pm, but by 10pm it was really cold. We spent an hour waiting for an SSR bus (there were two road accidents in the area and traffic was backed up). When the bus arrived we were like icicles, and of course the bus had air con going full blast. We got into our room at gone midnight, and for once we put on the A/C to warm us up!

Not as bad as our first trip in Dec 2010 though - it was minus 2 some days with ice on the bushes!

We've been in November, weather was great, not unbearable heat but never needed to consider a jumper.

As an aside queues are usually shorter too, apart from thanksgiving where it's really busy.

take jeans and a jumper and you should be fine. Our preference is either May or November (due to work etc) and sometimes find May a bit too hot for the parks (and definitely wetter).

We’ve wandered around in shorts and T-shirt before and the locals are wearing gloves!

Even if it’s cold for a few days it’s quite unusual for it to be cold every day of your holiday.

Also, OP, it looks as though we’re going on the same day, looking at our countdowns

Also avoid Epcot on the F&W marathon weekend, and avoid MK on Veterans Day (11 Nov). Universal was a ghost town that day in 2014 though.

We've sat in the likes of Bob Evans and Cracker Barrel having breakfast in April or November in T-shirts and shorts and maybe the outside temperature is in the mid 60s with a warming trend.

We both smile at the locals arriving in anoraks and scarves and ask ourselves if they are heading for Alaska.

We have been in both early and mid November several times, its a great time to go. Normally averages mid 70s but have had it as high as mid 90s. Good thing about November is its in the dry time of year and also humidity isnt as high as it is in May.
