I should add that you can obviously only book for a flight that's in the system so basically up to 330 days from now. If you want to travel beyond that, they will convert it to an "open" ticket, which you then use to book when the 330 day window rolls around.

My daughters colleague has had November flights cancelled by va.
We are due to (not!) travel end of october and not heard anything 🤔

Thank you, we have managed to cancel our villa, thankfully the owner has honoured this year's price and moved our deposit villa booked for next year and the car hire has been moved courtesy of DFCH so let the new countdown begin.

Looks like VA have cancelled our 23rd October flight MAN-MCO as only the return flight is showing on 14th November. Booked through Netflights. Fingers crossed for a refund or amendment to May 2021

Once converted to the Open ticket, do you wait until the date of your return flight to rebook. or should you be changing the outbound flight once that is available, and the return a couple of weeks later?

I would have thought you would need to wait for the return flight to be available in the system, but the email from Virgin seems to imply booking both individually.
