Disneyland LL Premier Pass

Any experiences with lightning lane premier pass?

Originally planned 2-3 days at Disneyland and DCA at the start of a two week California road trip. Quickly realised that eats up too much time of a two week trip in a state as big as California. Plus the other half isn’t that much of a parks fan.

So it got me thinking about LL Premier Pass. It’ll be between 300-400 USD and there are four of us. Anyone have any experience using it?

The things that worry me it will be on day 1 of our trip, so will jet lag kick in part way through the day? And secondly, lots of rides don’t have LL in California, so how to navigate that?

Yes we used it in November, did both parks & 19 rides in one day, found it worked really well, far better than at WDW with more becoming available later in the day.

Cool! And how did you factor in rides without LL as I know unlike WDW, Disneyland has lots of rides without LL. did you do these right at the start at rope drop, or just as and when?

With doing both parks in a day did you have to choose one nighttime spectacular at either park to go to and forego the other?

We just waited for them, I don't recall waiting long for anything - for Radiator Springs Racers we used the single rider line as that was a long wait. We actually got to ride together and had waited less than 15 minutes.

We weren't too worried about the nighttime shows, but did just opt for the one at DCA as we'd not seen it beforel

Radiator Springs is includes in the premier pass as it has lightning lane single pass, same as Rise of the Resistance.

From my research it’s just the fantasyland rides which aren’t in premier pass. So maybe need to do Peter Pan at rope drop.

It’s a lot of money but I think I’ve talked myself into it. Just need to make sure DW never finds out how much it cost!
