It was St Patricks Day and from a stand outside the Empress Lilly not their bar / restaurant.

It was a slightly bigger glass ( plastic cup 🤣 )

The glasses inside will provide you with a cracking Guinness at the still crazy lower price

Enjoy👍

So we were originally going to go to Bonefish Grill tonight but it was such a lovely warm evening we decided to head to Disney Springs for a mooch around.

We had managed to get a Groupon deal for Chicken Guy where a $25 voucher was about $17 so we headed there.

There was a line but it went very fast and took less than 5 minutes to get to the front. It’s a fast food style place known for their sauces.

I went for OG burger with fries and a Fanta and my mum got 5 original tenders with the BBQ sauce and sweet and sour sauce with fries and a Coke. It came to just over $28- so had to pay just over $3 with the voucher.

It did suggest a tip when I paid, I can’t remember what the suggestions were but I simply clicked ‘no thanks’ and nothing else was said.

The food was decent, not anything amazing but good. I still prefer Chick Fil A for fried chicken though.

I’ve realised we’ve been here since Monday and spent about $45 on food between us so far 😂 not intentional, just how it’s fallen. Longhorn looks likely tomorrow!

Yesterday we went to one of my mums faves, Longhorn Steakhouse.

We got there quite early around 6:45pm and we got seated immediately. There was a large wait by the time we left around 8:15pm

I ordered the half rack of ribs with mash and my mum ordered a 6oz sirloin with mash. We both also got a Caesar salad, and my mum ordered a white peach sangria (I just got an iced water)

The bread was warm and fresh, the Caesar was lovely and the drink was very nice.

My ribs were OK but not amazing, think I will stick with steak next time. My mum loved her steak though as usual and said it was delicious and we both enjoyed the mash.

The total was just over $51 so we paid card and left $5 cash tip ☺️

The service was fine, acceptable, nothing groundbreaking. Overall an enjoyable dinner.

I may be wrong and it may simply be nostalgia, but I am convinced that the quality of the fare in the Longhorn has decline over the past 20 years.. not the service, simply the food in that I have had a couple of very average ‘Flo’s fillets’.

We have still used the place, as I believe that it represents decent value, but I detect a decline in quality. I now prefer ‘Outback’ as it has Happy Hour deals.

I’m not sure, I think you are probably right if I’m honest but my mum still loves their sirloin and at $16.49 with a side and salad it sure beats paying the Disney prices 😂

Yummy can’t beat a steak at Longhorns or Outback, such good value, shame you weren’t that happy with the ribs
Mum’s peach sangria looked nice 👌

The only Theme park meal that I ever eat is at Disney Springs Rainforest Cafe and on our last two Orlando visits, we have even avoided that one.

I always seek value, taking packed food into parks for lunch and then looking for an early ‘eat out’ dinner, preferably at happy hour.

Enjoying this . We tend to round up so some get a decent tip some a smaller one when offsite. Some nice meals youve had there . Love longhorns but Cheddar scratch was a favourite of ours last time , chicken pot pie was lovely .
