Tips on DDP
Hey everyone
Just a quick question... When we go in October we have the DDP how do we work out what we tip is it on what the bill should have been before the credits come off? |

The bill will have the suggested tip amounts. You can chose to pay the tip in cash, card or charge to your room.

The tip is based on everything you eat or drink and all this will be displayed on the bill.
Basically, if you always eat the most expensive thing on the menu you will pay more in tip. |

Anything included on DDP is usually displayed as $0.00, anything extra has the price and tax. The suggested tip is at the end based on the cost of the entire meal, so be mindful when using DDP that the cost of what you order is reflected in the tip! Before we went I had read on here that some people had been charged the tip twice (by accident) if they chose to leave cash rather than charge to your room so we opted to pay be magic band and they pay off the room balance in cash.

If you're on the DDP, they usually produce two receipts: one has the figures on together with suggested tips at 18% and 20% before tax, and when you've paid or tapped your band they'll bring you a receipt which says $0.00. I always try and keep the one with figures on it so I can do cost comparisons once I'm home.

Yes you can every couple of days if you like.
Last time we put our gift card on to our room account after we had picked it up and I think we paid a bit off our room bill at one point. I think, but I'm sure someone will be able to say for certain that they will use your credit card linked to your account to pay the balance on the last day if you haven't already cleared it. I'm sure one of the lovely dibbers can confirm that. I can't remember exactly as we were only going to go ONCE so I didn't pay lots of attention to the smaller details!
