Miami to universal

We'll be driving from Miami to Rpr. Probably going to be in a 7 seater, grand caravan or something like that. How often will we need to refuel? I'm worried that as we're taking a big car it might be a gas guzzler!

Also, how much roughly will the tolls be?

You won't need to refuel on the way up, the large MPVs/4x4s will have a big enough tank to do over 350 miles at motorway speeds.

Tolls depend on which way you go - if you take US27 up to where it meets I4 there are no tolls. If you use the Turnpike almost all the tolls around Miami are Sunpass only - if you hire the car with Alamo this is automatically covered and they take the tolls plus a small admin fee automatically, it was a trivial amount compared to the cost of the holiday.

Time wise there is very little in it in my experience which route you choose, if you want to do it without a stop definitely turnpike is quicker (traffic flows at UK motorway speeds, 80-85mph), whereas US27 is a more relaxing drive with more places to stop, but these days there are also a lot more traffic lights which can make parts of the journey a bit frustrating.

Your fuel will get you from Miami to Orlando with fuel to go to the park next day
