And the enterprise response.
hank you for contacting Alamo Email Customer Care. My name is Hannah, and I'll be happy to assist you with your upcoming Reservation at our Orlando International Airport location!

After taking a closer look at Confirmation# I see that the cost included in the voucher payment you've made, is the following:

Collision Damage Waiver (protects you if damage occurs on the rental vehicle) for 14 days

Extended Protection (protects you if the rental damages a 3rd party vehicle) for 14 days

Additional Driver for 14 days

Other than that, the cost for the daily/weekly rates at $231.24/week, the Fuel Service Option and the taxes/airport fees on these charges is set to be collected at the time of pick up.

If this isn't what you understood to be the case, please contact the company you've paid directly, and they should be able to provide more details, as well as send us an updated voucher to cover all but the Fuel Service Option, as you mentioned.

Reference#:

I hope this information helps, and if we can provide any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reply.

Have a wonderful day!

Sincerely,

Hannah Brezovsky

Martyn. I could have dictated that Alamo e Mail! It's exactly the same for any query. And as usual they wheel out the 3rd party booking nonsense. As I said I have no faith whatsoever in their clerks who do E Mail responses.

Ha ha your right it does seem all nonsense. Don't understand the response about the extra cost at collection. Is that what you've seen a million times before. As like I said I've paid upfront the fee of £389 which I understood to cover all insurance I needed.
I'm really grateful for you help ok this especially on a Friday night

Martyn. Like all of them when things go right they are great. When they go wrong they are all dreadful.
I did chuckle about the E Mail you got, it's always the same wording and always says about 3rd Party which as we know most of us on here use 3rd Party suppliers.
That's how with Brits, Andy, Virgin etc we can and do skip the counter.
Keep at them and make their life hell with E Mails!

Ok thanks will keep at them with the emails etc. It seems like it's a common email then that most have had in the past. But has anyone been charged for the fees they claim I will be billed for at pick up point. I was just going to carry on with the skip counter and then claim it back once I got home but I think I will also do what you mentioned earlier and leave it a week or two and see if the website corrects its issues that most people have encounted. Just hope I get it sorted as I really want the ability to skip the counter .
Thank you again

Martyn. You can still go to the garage without doing skip the counter. It is advantageous but it's not essential.
The main thing is OLCI, everything else is value added and doesn't stop you proceeding as you wish contrary to what people say, I have done it!

Ok for those who are following this I sent another email stating I wasn't too happy with the response and that other people have had the same type of email in the past. Also explained that others are having the same issues at the moment so suggested they took the issue I had a bit more serious and started to look into the system they are using.
Anyhow got this response again not what I was after as now they are saying I have to go kiosk/counter and that was the one thing I didn't want to do but hey ho it's a small part of a 14 day holiday so will rite there have to suck it up or try without the skip counter token as mentioned above.

Mr berry
I'm so sorry for my confusion. When I reviewed the Reservation, it's set up as if it's a 3rd party, as it's locked in the Alamo UK system, and is showing the amount was going to be collected at the time of pick up.

To ensure there is no further confusion with any agent, I've sent an update to the Station Manager at MCO, and let him know that you've already paid, and if he wants, he'll reach out to our UK team (which sent the request to me, so again, my apologies).

Rest assured, I'll be keeping watch on this like an eagle, so you won't have to worry about anything else!

I was also able to confirm this with our UK Team at 077-89433534

The paid amount taken for this Rental is $472.56, which is what you'll see online with the FSO adding to the over all cost. Due to the issues you've had, I've placed a waiver for the FSO, so it will be free of charge, on me!

Finally, the way this was set up will require you to go to the Kisok or counter to add both you and Mrs. Berry to the Rental Agreement.

I really hope this is a helpful correction, and I'll remain available to you both if you happen to need anything else going forward.

Thank you again for your time and patience with me, while I was able to confirm all the details!

Sincerely,

If you go counter or kiosk do you still get the option to pick your car when you get to the garage or are you assigned one at the desk.
