Alamo payment

Afternoon all thanks for people who have replied to my previous threads with some great advice.

Using alamo on a pay on arrival basis. I am the main driver and father in law additional. My plan was to pay using my girlfriends credit card will this be ok or cause any issues?

Can anyone offer any advice as will need to move money around if will cause issues?

The Credit Card needs to be in the Main Driver's name

if you're the main driver, and don't have a credit card, you won't get the car, period

as it's pay on arrival, the CC will both serve as payment and security.

You could cancel, and rebook with your FiL as main driver, and use his CC

but no matter what, upon collection, the CC needs to be in the main driver's name

Not an expert on paying on arrival but they'll definitely need to swipe a card in the lead drivers name. I suspect that they'll want to take the funds from that card as well but as I say, not 100% sure on that.

From my experience you can chop and change which card you use but the card presented needs to be in the lead drivers name.

Thanks for the replies just means moving money round but would rather get it sorted now than in 2 weeks. Alamo did suggest cancelling and rebooking in girlfriends name but as I did pay on arrival that would cost a lot more so glad found a resolution

Totally by mistake I gave in wife's CC on last visit at gate didn't notice till 3 days later, however I had prepared.
Prepay is the easy option as would seem not to give a stuff at gate as this is only incidentals.
