Alamo Brits - extra driver
Hi
Thanks to reading the various threads on here I've booked through Alamo Brits for May. Husband is currently the named driver and ideally we'd like both myself and father in law to also be able to drive. Is it possible to add an extra driver when I check in online? Father-in-law is 79 (but fitter than anyone else!) will that make any difference? Is there any way that he could be a named driver for the first half of our holiday and myself for the latter? Not sure how I contact Alamo to ask these - I just tried to call the number on the link to the Alamo Brits page but they said that as it's via a 3rd party they have no idea what the deal is? Thanks SJ |

Yes, you can add the additional driver when you do the OLCI.
No problem with your FIL being added. The upper age limit is 99 Pass on your last question. If you're struggling, I can find out. |

thanks Andy. Any idea of additional cost for an extra driver for 18 days? In reality father-in-law doesn't mind not driving at all but seems a waste to have the car sit there most of the first 10 days as he isn't coming to the parks. Would love to know if we can split the extra driver between the first 10days and last 8.
And thanks again for your help. You did quote for me a few weeks ago but unfortunately couldn't beat the Brits price this time - you have been very helpful so I'll always try you first! SJ |

If you were to add a 3rd driver on to the rental it'll add a daily charge which varies depending on where you book it through. between $10 and $13 a day if memory serves me correctly.
Send me a quick email with your dates and the Brits price and i'll double check as I have access to some new rates which aren't on the site yet. |
