I hope this is a typo on someone's part... looking at the boxes to the right on the Dibb, Covent Garden FX seem to have devalued the £ hugely this evening...

You can all rest easy now - the rate is guaranteed to now shoot up because I ordered some today.

I really hope it is a glitch or typo, otherwise we might have to rethink going anywhere this year

The triggering of Article 50, in isolation, will not make a jot of difference to the exchange rate. The market already factors in all news it it aware of, and the triggering of Article 50 is clearly not a secret.
The exchange rate will only be moved significantly, one way or another, as specifics relating to the UK's exit become more defined. As ever, anyone considering their dollars has three choices: 1) Buy now - you know what rate you'll be getting. 2) Buy later - you're gambling the rate improves or doesn't regress to any degree. 3. Buy little and often between now and when you go, therefore ensuring you'll get a sort of 'average' rate over the coming months. |

Just gone direct to their website, and it's the same on there. Perhaps they're just safeguarding themselves from possible losses in the morning, kind of ensuring no one buys right now? They're the only ones who seem to have it that low, which is strange as they're usually #1!

I bought £1K at weekend - hedging my bets - never usually take that much cash, and usually try and use a credit card to collect avios.
I have no clue where it will go - will depend on The Donald as much as negotiations with EU. The only thing that is certain is - uncertainty!

Indeed but I have to pay the balance in Sterling next week so I hope it drops against the euro next week.
