Eve meal times - Fantasmic etc

I'm sure this has been asked loads of times but would a reservation at say sci-fi in HS at 7.40 but too late to catch Fantasmic? We didn't particularly want the Fantasmic dining package so were hoping to catch the firworks somewhere on site - is this even possible?

IMO yes. It obviously depends on the time of Fantasmic. Say it is 9pm. You book for 7.40pm but you are not seating until 8.10 (30 minute wait - it does happen), and you want to arrive 20 to 30 mins before Fantasmic to get a seat - so you need to leave the restaurant by 8.30 to 8.40pm. You now only have 20 mins to order, get food and eat. If Fantasmic is at 10pm this is more do able but still tight.

you would have to be inside the amphitheater to watch Fantasmic, it is not really fireworks, it is a show, so it is only visible from inside the amphitheater. Bear in mind that for the 9pm showing, people start queuing from earlier than 8pm. Depends if you care about having good seats or not.

Thanks for the advise - I think we will stick with our original plan for an early dinner. Thank you!
