We had a white chocolate swirl type thing (our neighbour worked for them and gave it to us) it was very nice, but rich as said, only needed a small slice

I've bought a few when I've been unable to make my own. They frequently offer discounts if you sign up online. However, I do prefer to make my own.

Belated congratulations to Elizabeth on her 21st. It's my sons 21st next month and he's chosen the cake he wants from PV. It's a banana, strawberry chocolate one but unbeknown to him, as we travel to Italy 3 days after his birthday, the hotel we are staying in are making him one also to be presented to him on our first evening meal there.

Hope you have a wonderful time in Italy Bartswife. Elizabeth flew to Venice on Saturday the day after her birthday. She is now on a cruise. These 21 year olds are very lucky. When I was 21 it was a few sandwiches and sausage rolls at my parents house then work the day after! Hope your son has a lovely birthday.

Thankyou. A cruise is next on my wish list. I agree they are very lucky. Our other son was helped a lot with touring USA after Camp America for his 21st but Ash has learning difficulties so that's why we are going with him. My birthday is near Christmas and we had planned on a big family meal out for my 21st (a long, long time ago) but my mum lost her job just before so I wouldn't let them have the expense so we just had a buffet party at home but a lot of the relatives had made other plans so there wasn't many of us there! We got married 9 months later so they also had the expense of the wedding.
