Blimey thats a lot for a bit of grass to put your caravan on! Believe it or not, I have just booked 8 nights in California for less than a week in Tenerife. The prices they wanted were crazy!

One campsite we go to is £49 per night for a tent pitch with electric hook up 2 adults 2 children in peak season. Slightly less for me as it's 3 of us but needless to say we don't go there much. Despite the prices you have to book ages in advance. The other one we go to more is £27 for the night. Less facilities clean showers right on the broads and just as nice.

We caravan and only stay on Haven for weekends out of season as they are too expensive peak plus add to that the constant 'can I have a pound' from the kids! You certainly have to look around for decent prices.

Yes we usually use Haven. Their out of season breaks are brilliantly priced, so guess this is why I was stunned at the £300.
Oh well, back to the drawing board!

A couple of years ago I priced up a few days in a decent hotel in Dorset. Bed and breakfast and single room was over £100 a day.

Seems a lot to me.
