We did although it was a while ago now - we did a trip to Disneyland in 2012.
At the time I said it was the best flight we had ever done in economy - I was quite impressed and we paid less than £500 per person.

I flew with them last year in premier first (same vain layout as VS use) and the level of service and off were top notch.
The sky beds in economy looked amazing too and big enough time sleep 2 comfortably (I did fly in them but observed during my nocturnal walks) |

Not flown with them from the uk, but did three flights with them in New Zealand and Australia and was very happy with them.

We flew with them from Hong Kong to Auckland last month , they were great, we were only in economy in a 2.4.2 layout the seats were comfy. IFE good and food good.
They also do a seat called a skycouch which is good if you want more space but they are more expensive. I would certainly fly with them again if the price was right |

We flew with Air New Zealand last year Heathrow to LA and LA to Auckland. Both flights were really good. The staff were lovely, food good and IFE had plenty to choose from. Definitely the best long haul company I've flown with.

We flew to New Zealand via LAX a few years ago. We flew in economy and had a sky couch in economy. I found it very comfortable as I am only 5 foot but DH is just over 6 foot and couldn’t lie flat. Nevertheless we would happily fly with them again as the flight flew by as we could both get a good sleep.

Just be aware that Air NZ have recently announced that this route will cease from October 2020.

We love Air New Zealand. I cannot say enough good things about them. One of the best economy experiences, friendly and excellent service, particularly if you get a Kiwi crew. We try and fly Air New Zealand as much as we can when e go overseas, which is relatively easy for us as we live in Auckland!
