Virgin don't have to cancel any flights. UK Citizens cannot travel to the USA however, there are Americans here that want to get home, and people from other countries that will change in a US airport, particularly Canadians. You may find that your flight is not cancelled. They are grounding 80% of their fleet so a lot of people will be cancelled, but not everyone. You need to claim on your insurance on the "FCO advises against all but essential travel" if you flight is not cancelled. If your insurance doesn't cover FCO advisory cancellations, then cross your fingers that your flight is one that gets pulled.

Understood, however their website states that the first flight is not until 20th April if I try and book the 19th.

After reading through the last few posts
(We are due to fly from Manchester 19/4) I could book an indirect flight to Mco But a direct flight was available for 20/4 And our return flight is still showing I’m confused at the best of times🤪 Can anyone explain what this actually means please. |

All so confusing / frustrating!
My son due to travel 29th April Booked direct flights Gatwick - MCO with Virgin Atlantic AND also booked a hotel for 2 weeks. Correspondence received from both V Atlantic and V holidays, but getting no joy from either - wanted to re-book trip for later in year, however he only paid £600pp for the lot (flight and hotel) and does not want to pay much more. So.… I'm thinking he should he wait till nearer the time to see if flight gets pulled if he cant rebook same trip for similar price? |

Dont forget that at the present time , our ESTAs have been "expired" and we would not be allowed to travel if we were arriving from a country that had Coroavirus in the last 14 days. So as our peak is supposed to be May (maybe)that would take us to June .Thats why we have canceled ours in May .
