How are you Rebooking flights that are more than 11 months away

Hi if BA offer a rebook for a trip originally in say May 15th 2020, how are they able to rebook you and give you a price for say going out on May 10 2021

These flights are not yet available to book as more than 11 months out.

Am i missing something here?

Thinking the same with Aer Lingus but believe their voucher is valid for 5 years.

At the moment their offer is 110% of the value of your flight in the form of a voucher which can be used at anytime in the next 5 years. I don't think you can book beyond the 11 month point at this time.
Personally my flight is in May and I'm waiting until they officially cancel it.
