CFB. So nice to see they are going to skim inside. I detest seeing taping on joints and then just painting.
Coming along nicely, well done.

I am the same as you re taping. A good skim transforms a room... Shame about the rest of my home!

I feel sure that I will be paying a premium for it... but worth every penny extra!

They have certainly got on with it. I guess that this is an advantage of agreeing a price before commencement, rather than hourly rate.

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

The interior plaster took 2 full days and is now drying off without any intervention by heat or dehumidifier. A warm day tomorrow should pretty much do it. To my untrained eye, it looks excellent.

Next step is KRend for the outside (which seems to be in rather short supply down here), then a floor (Membrane, insulation plus boards), woodwork (Skirts, doors plus architrave), Decorating (Chosen by Mrs CFB), 2nd fit electrics, Carpet (19 days to delivery and chosen by Mrs CFB), Move in furniture, Pictures etc. Things are starting to come together rather well!

CFB. Skimming looks good. Well done.

Don’t get a carpet from Ulster Carpets. They could not manage to supply us one without a flaw in it despite repeated attempts. Disgraceful.

We are really well pleased thus far.

We always used one carpet fitter (until he retired). He always asserted that like for like, week in week out, Trago Mills were roughly 1/3 better value than any rivals. I took his good advice.
