There are some amazing tours including one which takes you into the places Walt imagined and even lived in but I would save those for a subsequent trip

If you’re going to be in Disneyland for your birthday, then 100% book yourself onto the Walk in Walt’s Footsteps tour, especially if you are a complete Disney buff.

Learning the history of the park, and then finishing up in his private apartment is one of the greatest things I’ve ever done.

Maybe book yourself a nice meal somewhere for afterwards. You get sandwiches with the tour, but they’re not great. I’d book for Cafe Orleans and have the Monte Cristo with Pomme Frites. It’s a sit down meal, but not overly posh, so you wouldn’t have to leave the parks to dress up or anything.

If you prefer something posher / more formal, then there are restaurants that cater to that too.
I’d finish my day in California Adventure watching World of Colour if it’s on.

I absolutely love Disneyland.
