Fantastmic! Dinner Package Help

Hi all

I am wanting to book the Fantasmic Dinner Package for our trip.

I've checked on My Disney Experience and booking it seems a bit weird it terms of trying to get timings.

Does anyone know what time one sits for dinner? We're thinking of booking it at Hollywood and Vine but all that's coming up is a 4:25pm sitting which sounds a bit early?

What time is the show normally? Does this sound right to you?

Thanks!

Booking a dinner package means you will get to sit in an area reserved for guests that have booked a dinner package.

They tend to use the package as a way to fill the restaurant at quieter times so usually packages include breakfast, lunch and dinner but stop between 3.30 and 5pm. Fantastic can have 1 or 2 shows a night depending on time of year. On the right hand side of this site you can see the timings of shows etc

I think you are going in July? Looks like Fantasmic is at 9pm.

I managed to book for 4:30pm yesterday online and then called to try and change it to 5pm but the CM said that they won't make bookings for the fantasmic package after that time because they want people to be done 4 hours before the show starts!?!? Obviously I understand a couple of hours before so that people can eat and then get to the show on time but this seemed a bit excessive.
For us it's only half an hour earlier than we wanted so nothing to compain about I suppose but I agree, it does seem a bit early!

Disney use dining packages as a way to fill tables during nontraditional meal times so dinner is always early. It didn't bother us on that one occasion. We just made sure we didn't have a huge lunch.

Should Fantasmic be noted in my booking on MDE?

I have booked a 3pm lunch at Mama Melrose but it just shows as a normal booking and I am worried now.

Just checked my MDE on the app and it says 'Fantasmic 1st showing' under the name of the restaurant.

I'd give them a call to check

When booking on mde you go through the fantasmic package dining page then select the restaurant, if you went on the mama Melrose page that won't be the package.

I just booked mine so I'll check what it says and update.

Update - mine says fantasmic lunch 1st show
