Smells like rain

Can anyone else smell rain before it starts?

I know there's a scientific (biological) explanation for it, but my Dh doesn't believe me lol

I agree, you can totally smell the rain before it comes. DH thinks that I'm crazy when I tell him I can feel the rain before it happens. I get pressure headaches before a downpour. Is this just me?

Yep, there’s definately a pre rain smell. It’s finally raining here after a month with none. My grass is going to be delighted!

Ha, yes 100%. Not saying all the time or most of the time, but in the summer, when it has been dry and a thunderstorm is on the way, 100% can smell the rain coming. First time i said to my wife rain is coming i can smell it, she just laughed at me. But about 30 mins later there was a huge downpour. Still didn't believe i had smelt it though.
