Resort Fees Virgin Holidays

Hi.

We’re staying at the WDW Dolphin in February and have booked with Virgin Holidays. I notice that this hotel has a resort fee of around $40 per day. This would increase the price of our holiday by around £500 .

Does anyone know if this resort fee is included when booking with Virgin or have I got a nasty surprise waiting for me in Florida.

Thanks

Funnily enough I was about to query this with them. Our cancelled September 2021 booking included the resort fee and had free parking. The info page on their website mentions free parking but I can’t see anything about the waived resort fee this time, it doesn’t seem to mention it at all.

That’s what I thought. Also I had an email from VH yesterday saying that the hotels offers had changed. No mention of the $50 restaurant discount and the spa offer has changed from 20% off to a $30 voucher. I’ll have to give Virgin a call and find out what’s going on.

Thanks for your reply

I’ve had the same email for our booking which is in just over 2 weeks time. It’s not clear if we are still in a Lake View room or whether the resort fees are still included (which they were the last 2 times we booked through Virgin Holidays).

I’ve emailed them so I will let you know an update when I get a response.

I’m sure I saw something on their website saying that resort fees are included in their prices, but probably safer to double check with them 😊

Thank you… If it’s not included then that is a serious hike on the cost and Virgin should have made this clear. Definitely not what we signed up for.

May not apply in your cases but if you go on the Virgin Holidays website and put in a dummy booking for a Hotel only booking - most of the hotels i have been looking at do not include resort fees and there is some small print stating that these would need to be paid locally at the hotel.

We had the Dolphin booked for a cancelled trip and they confirmed that resort fees and parking are included in the price. Basically unless it says on the website that they’re not included then they are if that makes sense!

I have noticed the price has reduced considerably since I looked at Christmas, the Swan was apx £3500 for 10 nights, now showing at apx £2200.
