Refillable Resort Mugs - Reusable on a new trip?

We went in 2018 and got the refillable resort mugs/cups that you can use on the soda fountains in resort only, not in the parks unfortunately. They're chipped and stopped working on the day of our checkout as intended.

Can I use them again for our trip this year - we're doing 5 nights at CBR - without having to pay extra? Will they automatically work as they're linked up to our reservations somehow, a bit like our old magic bands, or shall I just leave them in the cupboard at home?

You have to purchase a new ones.

They can not be reactivated im afraid

Yes, but my reply widens the discussion to others who may be reading. That is the beauty of a forum thread, development, as opposed to a simple question, a simple answer and then closure of that thread.

Many who visit Disney also visit the Seaworld group (and also the Unversal parks).

Whilst they may not now take their refillable Disneys, they are now also aware that it is worth taking the SW/AQ/BG ones.. and that is why I posted.

We used to take our Disney mugs and use it for tea/coffee when we owned DVC at AKL. We always bought 1 refillable mug and poured soda into our old mugs too (there is a time delay though)
