Been to Iceland recently?

I'm going to Iceland next month, and the subject of money has come up. I've read that cash isn't really needed anymore, everywhere apart from a few minor attractions outside of Reykjavik takes cards.
It just seems alien to me not to take any cash with me when I go away

You can take cash if you want! They will also be quite happy accepting card for things as well!

We went a few years ago and used a mixture of card and money and both accepted no problem Eye watering prices but I'm sure you are aware.

Have a great time it's an amazing country

We went in April and only used our credit card. No cash required

We went in October 2019 and we didn’t take any cash. I don’t use cash in the uk so I was happy to not use it over there!

Thanks everyone, it wasn't that I wanted to take cash, I didn't know if I needed to. The answer looks like no, thanks.

Quick Update:
Back from Iceland yesterday, and can confirm we didn't use a single piece of cash, used card everywhere.
