Well at 76 I've just completed our two ESTAs which means about the eighth for each of us.
But I really enjoy being patronised. Mick

Absolutely I’m 66. I run university and school examination board. This involves daily use of complex IT systems and a huge amount of responsibility.
Remember most of you ‘younger’ people won’t be officially retiring until your late sixties - bet you won’t think yourself an ‘oldie’. I do get cross at the expectation that anyone over 60 is technically ignorant. We are the children of the 1960s remember! And we are capable of using technology.

It's not the same for everyone though. My mum is good with technology. She was a civil servant so used to working with computers etc.
My dad probably wouldn't know how to turn a laptop on never mind apply for an esta. He's only recently gave in and let us get him a mobile phone, which he will probably never use anyway. |

We are 61 and 71,I don't feel in the least bit offended or patronised if we're classed as old dears😳I remember being young and thinking 40 something was pretty ancient .😂 We're all different,I can be quite techy when I need to be,my husband not so much,he can hike miles lol me not so much 😝

I’m 67 and still working, couldn’t do my job without ‘technology’
I think the people, whatever their age, who say they can’t use a computer or mobile phone just don’t want to. Bet they soon would if they had no one to do it for them! |

Absolutely agree! Trouble is there are a lot of our 'age' who get very touchy about stuff.
The comment actually made me smile!

My dad is 88, a widower, he loves his iPad which we got him during the first lockdown. If it had been my mum she wouldn't even have tried it.
He rang me 'urgently' this morning to ask me to pay for a subscription to a YouTuber he follows
